(18 Feb 2018) LEADIN: The International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the United Nations Refugee Agency UNHCR has inaugurated the first employment office in the Azraq refugee camp in Jordan. The project is sponsored by the Dutch government and aims to facilitate access to formal work opportunities across Jordan for Syrian refugees. STORYLINE: The Secretary-General of Jordan's Labour Ministry, Hani Khlefat cuts a ribbon to officialy open Jordan's newest job centre. The UN refugee agency and International Labour Organisation (ILO) set up the centre in Azraq refugee camp, offering formal work permits for the 36,000 Syrian refugees living in Jordan's second biggest camp. The work permit will serve as a one month leave permit to allow refugees to pursue employment opportunities, according to ILO. It says so far, over 8,600 refugees in Azraq camp have already obtained a work permit. The centre is sponsored by the Dutch government and is intended to make it easier for people to look for a job. Dutch Ambassador to Jordan, Barbara Joziasse says it's the sixth such centre to open in the country. "The good thing is at least people now can apply for a job and earn their own income, so you have some dignity, you have pride, you have income, you can continue building your life in a way and developing yourself and your family and support, so," she says. The centre's opening also coincided with a job fair at the camp on Sunday (18 Feb) involving 24 companies offering 857 job opportunities. Dozens of refugees lined up outside a community centre to register for jobs, mostly in manufacturing and agriculture. Inside the centre, refugees crowded around long tables manned by factory and farm owners, waving their identity cards for registration as potential employees. Azraq's new job centre is part of a wider shift in Jordan's policies toward refugees and labor, initiated two years ago in London with a Jordan-European Union plan called the Jordan Compact. Jordan promised to provide 200,000 work permits for Syrian refugees within three years, in return for 12 billion US dollars in development assistance and reduced tariff barriers on Jordanian exports into European countries. Two years later, 90,000 Syrians have obtained work permits, according to the Ministry of Labour, meeting less than half of the quota. Only six companies have been approved for exports under the EU-Jordan tariff agreement, according to a recent report by the Overseas Development Institute, out of which only two are exporting goods, in "negligible amounts." Why gamble your freedom away for a $4,000 pay day as a bank robber when, as a high end jewel thief, an effective heist can net hundreds of thousands of dollars. There is a logical methodology behind what makes certain illegal jobs more profitable than others. The more nuanced, technical and skill-oriented the job and the more people you can manage to influence, the more money that will likely be made available to you. Sure, you may have to get your hands dirty through some low level jobs on the way up, but once you’ve committed to a life of crime, you probably already had some idea of what you were getting yourself into. While accurate information on the net earnings of high-income criminals is understandably hard to come by, sufficient data has been published to highlight 10 facets of criminal activity that have been known to nicely line the pockets of those stealth enough to avoid capture. Trump Just Signed The 1 Executive Order Liberals Have Feared Since His Election Source: https://goo.gl/bkjZcA With everyone focused on an attention-seeking adult film star and a disgraced former FBI director, President Donald Trump just signed the one executive order that liberals have feared since the day he was elected. You’re going to love this. With the American sheeple foaming at the mouth over Stormy Daniels and James Comey, President Donald Trump just reformed welfare. He has signed an executive order to reduce poverty in America “by promoting opportunity and economic mobility” and aims to do so by addressing “the challenges of populations that may particularly struggle to find and maintain employment (including single parents, formerly incarcerated individuals, the homeless, substance abusers, individuals with disabilities and disconnected youth).” “While bipartisan welfare reform enacted in 1996 was a step toward eliminating the economic stagnation and social harm that can result from long-term Government dependence, the welfare system still traps many recipients, especially children, in poverty and is in need of further reform and modernization in order to increase self-sufficiency, well-being, and economic mobility,” states the Executive Order Reducing Poverty in America by Promoting Opportunity and Economic Mobility. Indeed, President Bill Clinton’s welfare reform act of 1996, which he negotiated with then-Speaker Newt Gingrich, was a substantial step in the right direction. At the time, the left claimed that people would starve. They didn’t. Instead, many able-bodied individuals who once relied on a government check found jobs and started earning a paycheck. Between 1996 and 2000, the employment rate for single mothers increased from 63 percent to 76 percent, according to the nonpartisan Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. In addition, Fox News reports that the overall poverty rate has declined over the last half-century. However, there is still work to be done, and President Donald Trump is diligently fulfilling one of his key campaign promises; namely, to reform a welfare system which too often rewards laziness and perpetuates the cycle of government dependence which leads to generational poverty. The press release for the president’s new executive orders states that, in 2017, “the Federal Government spent more than $700 billion on low-income assistance.” It notes that since modern welfare began, during the administration of Franklin Roosevelt, the system has become a large bureaucracy with little incentive for people to look for work. His order aims to fix that. Trump is already making headway with unemployment numbers the lowest they’ve been in 17 years — most notably among black Americans — and food stamp participation plummeting: The number of food stamp dependent Americans hit a six-year low in President Donald Trump’s first year in office, reflecting an improving economy and falling unemployment, according to a U.S. Agriculture Department (USDA) report. An average of 42.2 million Americans participated in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program in 2017, which is an 11 percent decrease from 2013, when a record number of people used food stamps, according to USDA. “Federal spending for SNAP totaled $68.0 billion or 4 percent less than in the previous fiscal year,” USDA reported. “This was also 15 percent less than the historical high of $79.9 billion set in FY 2013.” [Source: The Daily Caller] Conservatives measure success not by how many people receive government assistance, but by how many don’t. This is one of the key differences between those on the right and their leftist counterparts. Democrats have labeled themselves the “Party of the People,” mainly by giving away “free stuff” in exchange for votes.Republicans, however, know that none of these handouts are actually “free.” Someone is paying for them and that “someone” happens to be the hard-working American citizen who would rather put in a ten-hour day at the factory than live on the dole. Moreover, conservatives realize that helping people become independent of the government is real compassion. By contrast, ensuring that entire demographics are beholden to a certain political party for their welfare checks is modern day slavery.

(11 Apr 2018) The executive director of the International Trade Centre, a multilateral agency working with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and the United Nations, said on Wednesday that too much attention was being paid to the faults of the WTO. Arancha Gonzalez made her comments at the UN in Geneva. She also stated it was her clear belief that the WTO served the interests of the US. "They have increased exports to China since China became a member of the WTO by more than 20 percent", she said, pointing out that thousands of US jobs relied on such trade. Pictures and Video. Police And Government Murdered 75 people, 25 were Children. The slaughter was carried out by American federal and Texas state law enforcement, as well as the U.S. military 25 years ago today. Between February 28 through *April 19,* 1993 the Waco siege of a compound belonging to the Branch Davidians. The Branch Davidians, was led by David Koresh and was headquartered at Mount Carmel Center ranch in the community of Axtell, Texas,13 miles (21 kilometers) east-northeast of Waco. Suspecting the group of stockpiling illegal weapons, the ATF obtained a search warrant for the compound and arrest warrants for Koresh and a select few of the group's members. The incident began when the ATF attempted to raid the ranch. An intense gun battle erupted, resulting in the deaths of four government agents and six Branch Davidians. Upon the ATF's failure to raid the compound, a siege lasting 51 days was initiated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Eventually, the FBI launched an assault and initiated a tear gas attack in an attempt to force the Branch Davidians out of the ranch. During the attack, a fire engulfed Mount Carmel Center. In total, 75 people died, including David Koresh. Police accountability? A police officers job is just so hard, we just can’t expect them to be accountable to the people they’re supposed to be serving and protecting. How dare we question authority or demand transparency and accountability from the people who carry guns to enforce the laws of this benevolent government. SOUNDBITE (English) Barack Obama, President of the United States: "Job losses for the last quarter of 2009 were one tenth of what we were experiencing in the first quarter, in fact in November we saw the first gain in jobs in nearly two years. Last month however we slipped back losing more jobs than we gained. Though the overall trend of job loss is still pointing in the right direction. What this underscores though is that we have to continue to explore every avenue to accelerate the return to hiring." New York City, New York - 8 January 2010 4. In terms of categories sales is also pretty big, at least on our site." New York City, New York - 8 January 2010 13. Close-up of people at computers at job centre 14. Close-up of person at computer STORYLINE United States President Barack Obama said on Friday that despite disappointing unemployment figures reported for December the trend is pointing in the right direction. "What this underscores though is that we have to continue to explore every avenue to accelerate the return to hiring," Obama told journalists at the White House. The president outlined a new initiative to create technology jobs after a weak government jobs report raised new questions about the sustainability of the financial recovery. Obama spoke after the Labour Department said the US jobless rate was unchanged at 10 percent in December, following a decline the previous month. But the government''s broader measure of unemployment, which includes people who have stopped looking for work or can''t find full-time jobs, ticked up 0.1 percentage point to 17.3 percent. That, plus the larger-than-expected loss of 85,000 jobs in December, put new pressure on the administration to step up job creation. Riveted for the past two weeks on the issue of security, the White House has been eager for a subject change. And Friday''s remarks were an attempt to return national attention to Obama''s domestic agenda, particularly jobs. Jobseekers in New York City meanwhile said on Friday that trying to find work in the current economic climate was difficult. "I find when I go for the interview that there are a thousand applicants for one job and it''s very, very disheartening," said unemployed city woman Simone Peele. Obama on Friday announced 2.3 (b) billion dollars in tax credits, to be paid for from last year''s 787 (bn) billion dollar stimulus package, that he said would create some 17-thousand "green" jobs. The money will go to projects including solar, wind and energy management. https://democracynow.org - In news that has sent shock waves through Capitol Hill, House Speaker Paul Ryan has announced he will not seek re-election this fall. Over 40 House Republicans have announced they will resign or retire, including nine chairmen of committees, leading many to speculate Republicans are fearing a blue wave will bring a Democratic majority to power in November. The most prominent Republican contender for Ryan’s seat is Paul Nehlen, a white nationalist and anti-Semite who has called for deporting all Muslims from the United States. For more, we speak with Corey Robin, a professor of political science at Brooklyn College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He is the author of “The Reactionary Mind: Conservatism from Edmund Burke to Donald Trump,” which The New Yorker called “the book that predicted Trump.” Democracy Now! is an independent global news hour that airs weekdays on nearly 1,400 TV and radio stations Monday through Friday. 08 common Interview question and answers - Job Interview Skills 1. "Tell me a little about yourself." You should take this opportunity to show your communication skills by speaking clearly and concisely in an organized manner. Because there is no right or wrong answer for this question, it is important to appear friendly. 2. "What are your strengths?" This is a popular interview question. They want to know what you think of yourself. Although this is a general question, there is a wrong and right answer. The wrong answer is a generic answer saying you are organized and friendly. Although it will not hurt you during the interview, it will certainly not help you either. Answer this question based on the type of job you are applying for. 3. "What are your weaknesses?" For this answer, you should display a weakness that can be seen as a strength. There are many types of answers that will work. Some answers will be good answers for certain jobs, while the same answer will be a bad answer for a different job. Select an answer that will work for the position you are applying for. 4. "Where do you see yourself in five years?" This question primarily depends on where you are in your career. A person with 5 years of experience will have different goals than a person with no work experience. This question is asked to see how serious a candidate is about his or her career. Some people might not know their goals, and some people might have goals of becoming rich and retiring early. Those are incorrect answers for this question. The type of answer you want to give is an ambitious answer that shows you really love your career. A good interviewer will read between the lines and find out if a person is going to be a hard worker or just a mediocre one. Being descriptive and shooting for a big goal is something interviewers want to hear. 5. "What do you know about our company?" A typical job interview question, asked to find out how much company research you have conducted, is "What do you know about this company?" Prepare in advance, and in a word, research, so you can provide relevant and current information about your prospective employer to the interviewer. 6. "Are you good at dealing with change?" Dealing with change is common in the work place. A simple yes will not be sufficient to impress the interviewer. This is another type of question where everyone will have similar answers. Of course everyone is going to claim being excellent dealing with change. You got to communicate that you are really good at dealing with change. 7. "Do you work well under pressure?" In most cases, the best answer to this question is answering yes. Working well under pressure is a good trait to have. However, I think if you answer that you work the same with pressure and without pressure, the interviewer will be more impressed. However, you will need to explain in words why this is better. 8. "How do you make important decisions?" There are many ways to answer this question, and if you have a reasonable method of making decisions, it will probably be sufficient. One answer I thought of included not being afraid of asking your manager. You can follow up by saying even the best needs mentoring, and you always want to improve. So basically, this could work as an answer, but depending on the job, you might have a better shot with an answer like my example.

AWARENESS RALLY THROUGH COIMBATORE 25 June 2009 The All India Association for Abolition of Discrimination Against the Girl Child today held an awareness rally through the Indian city of Coimbatore today with its three million inhabitants in the province of Tamil Nadu, Southern India. The rally was organized by the Michael Job Centre, Sulur. It marked the opening of the seventh Conference held from 26, 27 and 28 June 2009, for the Friends of Martyrs and Persecuted Christians The Founder-President of the Centre, Pastor P.P. Job, and President of the all India Association for Abolition of the Discrimination of the girl child addressed the crowd after the rally at the All Souls Church. Discrimination against the girl child leads to abortion, accidental deaths and abuse in India. According to a U.N. report there are fifty million abortions in the world every year. Of this five million are conducted in India. In addition 2000 girls are reported missing daily in India. In certain Indian States even today there is mourning if a baby girl is born. The birth of a son calls for rejoicing and distribution of sweets. The rally was supported by twelve schools; ten thousands pupils participated in the three kilometer long march. Further an international delegation of the pro life movement attended the rally. Participants from the United States, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and Romania joined the awareness rally. Slogans as adoption against abortion and discrimination of girl child where heard in the streets. The Rally was a major public witness against the common idea which is heavily supported by the general media in India that girl children are a burden. As a matter of routine stories of abandoned babies are aired together with statistics provided on abortions. Gruesome data, replete with photographs, is splashed in the media about events leading to Dowry deaths. And these stories are often juxtaposed with news items which talk of India Shining. According to information of the Michael Job Center, husbands, who should be the protector of their wives turn a blind eye when their revered mothers and sisters and other relatives stoop down to murder.
